Back to "normal"

I am back now....steady.
God....this is how astronauts must feel after coming back to earth from a space shuttle. The deafness that follows when actually there hasn't been any noise for a very, very long time. The astronaut steps out of the shuttle, and goes back in. The sudden burst of the bubble of isolation isn't tolerable either. Suddenly, the disquiet, the mind numbing speed of the shuttle seemed more peaceful than the warm welcome back home. Gravity. It just pulls you down. you  have to train long and hard to live in zero gravity condition, because you liked to keep your feet firm on the ground. And after a few days of floating, the gravity back on earth just seems like an unnecessary nuisance.
It's so typical of humans to readily acclimatize to anything, literally anything, no matter how sure they are of it's temporariness. Just the side effects of evolution I guess. We learn to adapt to any condition which gives us the edge for survival. But, it also blurs our realms of perspectives at times.
For now, this is software developer Nachiket Naik, just out of training capsule, signing off, over and out.
